Ipnetzone Selects XO Communications for Nationwide Ethernet Access
Type: News
XO Communications said that Ipnetzone Communications will use XO Communications' nationwide Ethernet access network to extend its service capabilities to more business locations and expand its Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) Exchange Platform.
According to the company, Ipnetzone specializes in private-line, metro Ethernet and multiprotocol label switching solutions that can be deployed through its MEP fabric. The Ipnetzone is a global MPLS Exchange Platform that allows for the construction of Multiprotocol Label Switching networks across multiple carriers, thus enabling connectivity to global markets and facilities.
Ipnetzone officials said the company currently uses XO Communications as its primary network services provider to connect data centers and provide network access solutions across the country. Under the terms of the new agreement, XO Communications will also provide Ipnetzone with nationwide access solutions leveraging XO's Ethernet over copper footprint.
"Based on our long-standing relationship with XO Communications and their deployment of over 400 Ethernet over copper-enabled local service offices, we see this as the next logical step in building a stronger relationship between the companies," said Anthony Hidalgo, chief operating officer of Ipnetzone. "With the growing demand for IP-based services from multi-location customers, it was clear that XO's nationwide Ethernet network footprint and our MEP would create a greater benefit for our customers."
Ipnetzone Communications is a privately held global network provider based in New York and provides international data, Internet, MPLS, and managed network and monitoring solutions to enterprise and carrier clients internationally.
XO Communications is a nationwide provider of broadband communications services and solutions for businesses, enterprises, government, carriers and service providers.
