When focus group results announced by ASAE revealed that executives from major segments of its membership had low awareness and limited knowledge of association management companies (AMCs), an education effort looked to be in order.
As a result, ASAE and the International Association of Association Management Companies (IAAMC), Westmont, Illinois, formed the AMCinstitute in August of last year. The effort is a joint marketing venture to expand awareness and knowledge of association management companies by acting as an independent marketing arm for AMCs and serving as a single reference point to enhance AMC business.
