A Glendale Heights man accused of abducting an 8-year-old girlwon't have to return to jail but will have to wear an electronicmonitoring bracelet that alerts authorities if he leaves his home, aDuPage County judge ruled Thursday.
Prosecutors had asked that bail be raised to $1 million for 22-year-old Nam "Andy" Ly after they filed an upgraded kidnapping chargeagainst him in the Sunday night disappearance of the Wheaton girl.The child vanished from a neighborhood park but was found safe aboutseven hours later, cowering in bushes outside Ly's apartment, wearingonly his T-shirt.
