Lou Ross

NAPLES, Fla. - Lou Ross, 67, former vice chairman of Ford Motor Co., died May 2.

Ross oversaw the introduction of the 1986 Ford Taurus, a car that revived Ford's financial fortunes and sparked the aerodynamic design movement. The Taurus was the best-selling car in the United States for five years, from 1992 through 1996.

Ross joined Ford in 1955. He was head of North American operations and chief technical officer before assuming the vice chairmanship in 1993. …
