Bangkok Port Sets Out to Be Full Service Provider.

Feb. 8--The modernisation of Bangkok Port is under way, starting with the expansion of a three-story bonded warehouse to increase storage capacity by 30 percent this year.

The move is part of a switch in focus from purely port business to providing integrated transport services to improve revenue, Mana Patram, the PAT's new director-general, said yesterday.

The expansion will increase the storage capacity to 7,800 tons from 6,000 tons by December at a cost of five million baht in anticipation of a jump in demand.
