NSW: Six confirmed dead in Blue Mountains train crash =2
The front carriage of the CityRail train and the rear carriage of the Indian Pacific
were derailed in the smash.
The four-car CityRail commuter service left Lithgow at 6.39am and was expected to arrive
at Sydney's Central station before 9am.
Around 20 people have been injured and are being taken to Penrith's Nepean Hospital
and Katoomba's Blue Mountains Hospital.
People seeking information on passangers on the Indian Pacific train have been urged
to call 132 147.
A hotline number will be set up for enquiries about CityRail passengers shortly.
